Originally from Scotland, Alison Mac Cormaic now lives in County Galway, working as an illustrator, Heritage in Schools specialist, Youthreach art teacher and art facilitator.

Alison's visual art practice includes illustration, stained glass, sewing, pattern and drawing. She usually takes inspiration from life, often recording objects and interiors that reflect cultural heritage. Inspired by stained glass and patchwork, the aim of her creative work is to achieve a balance of colour combination and form.
